GP - Warm-up Session:
David Coulthard sets the fastest time of the session ahead of Jarno Trulli and Mika Hakkinen. Frentzen, M Schumacher, Panis, Raikkonen, R Schumacher, Barrichello and Irvine make the top 10. 30 min: Jarno Trulli improves to 2nd with a time of 1:23.182 while Fisichella sets a time of 1:27.198 in 18th place. 30 min: David Coulthard improves yet again with a time of 1:22.994. The McLarens seem very strong this morning. Villeneuve improves to 11th! 30 min: Giancarlo Fisichella goes out just before the flag. He'll manage to set a timed lap (hopefully!) 29 min: Final run as most cars go out on the track! 28 min: Jarno Trulli moves into 3rd, the Jordans are strong here! 27 min: Olivier Panis improves to 6th while Coulthard just goes fastest with a time of 1:23.393. 26 min: Ralf Schumacher is currently the best Michelin runner in 7th. 25 min: Giancarlo Fisichella has yet to set a time with just 5 minutes to go! 24 min: Mika Hakkinen improves again with a 1:23.433 23 min: Michael Schumacher's Ferrari is not as fast as the McLarens, he could be planning a single stop while McLaren plan 2 ? 22 min: Mika Hakkinen responds and goes fastest with a time of 1:23.641. Ralf Schumacher moves into 7th. 21 min: Frentzen is looking strong moving into 2nd while Michael Schumacher improved but remains in 4th. 20 min: 10 minutes to go and the top 10 are Coulthard, Hakkinen, Trulli, M Schumacher, Panis, Frentzen, Barrichello, Villeneuve, Heidfeld and Verstappen. 19 min: Eddie Irvine improves to 7th with a time of 1:25.147. Michael Schumacher moves into 4th place. 18 min: Michael Schumacher currently in 8th place is on a fast lap. 17 min: At this stage, the Michelin tyres don't seem to be working well. The 2 Jaguars are their best runners in 10th and 12th. Montoya and Ralf are in 15th and 16th. 16 min: Trulli takes 3rd away from Panis with a time of 1:24.482 15 min: Panis moves up to 3rd with a time of 1:24.661 15 min: Top 10 - Coulthard, Hakkinen, Frentzen, Barrichello, Trulli, Villeneuve, Panis, M Schumacher, Heidfeld and Verstappen. 14 min: Michael Schumacher moves into 7th however his time was affected by yellow flags. 13 min: Nick Heidfeld goes off and is stuck in the gravel! 12 min: David Coulthard goes straight to the top of the timesheets with a 1:23.999. Hakkinen is behind him with a 1:24.215 11 min: Rubens Barrichello goes second with a time of 1:25.387. 10 min: Villeneuve improves but stays in 2nd. More drivers join the action including Barrichello and Michael Schumacher 9 min: Heinz Harald Frentzen goes fastest with a 1:25.357 while Ralf Schumacher goes 3rd with a 1:27.085. 8 min: Ralf Schumacher and Heinz Harald Frentzen are on the track as well. 7 min: Villeneuve improves to 1:26.647 as Hakkinen and Button take to the track. 6 min: Jean Alesi and Jos Verstappen go out on the track for their timed laps. 5 min: Jacques Villeneuve is the first to set a timed lap with a 1:28.177. He missed a lot of time yesterday in practice! 3 min: The cars are now back in the pits. Those with spare cars go back out to check the spare. 1 min: Jos Verstappen leads the pack of cars onto the track. Only 21 drivers will take part in this session and the race as Tarso Marques failed to qualify and Minardi's request to him race was rejected.
