Williams only have 2 points but are the most serious threat to both Ferrari and McLaren. They currently have the most powerful engine in Formula 1 and with Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya driving, expect to see some surprises during the season.

This race will be crucial for Mika Hakkinen if he is to mount a challenge to Coulthard and Michael in the championship.

All the cars have left their pits and are on the grid. No dramas this time.

Weather conditions played an interesting role all weekend so far but it doesn't look like we'll have any surprises (from the weather) during the race.

It will also be interesting to see if the new regulations and the stickier tyres will make overtaking any easier this year. Last overtaking was minimal and Michael Schumacher passed Mika Hakkinen through the pits and so did David Coulthard who was stuck behind Rubens Barrichello until the pit first stop.

Ferrari are using the hard compound Bridgestone tyre, McLaren and the rest of the Bridgestone runners are using the softer compound. Williams are using the Michelin tyres. The tyre choice could be crucial to the outcome of the race.

Weather conditions are sunny with a temperature of 15 degrees.

Race scheduled to start at 2:00 PM local time. That is 12:00 PM GMT, click here for the World Clock
