British GP - Second Friday Practice Session

Final Order - Rubens Barrichello, Michael Schumacher, Giancarlo Fisichella, Juan Pablo Montoya, Takuma Sato and Jacques Villeneuve make the top 6.
Raikkonen, Massa, Button, Heidfeld, R Schumacher, Coulthard, de la Rosa, Panis, Irvine, Trulli, Webber, Yoong and McNish make the rest of the field.
Mika Salo didn't go out onto the track during the session nor did either of the Arrows drivers.

60 min: Final lap ... Takuma Sato moves into 5th with a time of 1:33.901 while Nick Heidfeld moves into 10th..

59 min: Raikkonen improves in 6th while Massa continues to improve moving into 7th!

58 min: Problems for Yoong as he stops on the track!

57 min: Felipe Massa moves into 10th place with a time of 1:34.833

56 min: Mark Webber improves his time but remains in 17th.

55 min: Nick Heidfeld moves into 13th with a time of 1:35.500.

53 min: Alex Yoong makes a big jump moving into 18th with a time of 1:38.208 and ahead of Allan McNish!

52 min: But the rain doesn't stop Rubens Barrichello from improving his time and going fastest with a time of 1:31.457.

50 min: And it is raining again!. The weather forecast for tomorrow is for mainly cloudy skies but that could change of course!

49 min: At this stage the Ferrari duo are over 1.5 seconds faster than anyone else. 

47 min: Juan Pablo Montoya moves into 4th with a time of 1:33.842 becoming the fastest Michelin runner at this stage.

46 min: Felipe Massa moves into 12th with a time of 1:35.325.

45 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Fisichella, Villeneuve, Raikkonen, Montoya, Sato, Button, R Schumacher and Coulthard.

44 min: Jacques Villeneuve moves into 4th, Takuma Sato into 7th while Panis takes 11th. All running on Bridgestones.

43 min: Michael Schumacher goes fastest with a time of 1:31.881. Almost all the Bridgestone runners on the track look set to improve!

41 min: Giancarlo Fisichella moves into 3rd with a time of 1:33.727. The Bridgestone runners appear to be having an advantage on intermediate tyres.

39 min: David Coulthard improves his time with a 1:35.170. He is in 7th at this stage.

38 min: Barrichello and Michael improve in first and second while Ralf Schumacher moves into 6th place.

37 min: Montoya improves into 4th with a time of 1:34.738. He remains over 2.8 seconds off the pace of Barrichello.

36 min: Top 10 - Barrichello, M Schumacher, Raikkonen, Button, Coulthard, Montoya, de la Rosa, Irvine, Fisichella and Trulli.

35 min: Rubens Barrichello improves in first place with a time of 1:32.145 while Michael Schumacher moves into second with a 1:33.431.

34 min: Alex Yoong improves in 19th with a time of 1:41.295. He is still over 7.5 seconds off the pace. Both Barrichello and Michael on flyers!

33 min: Jarno Trulli improves again with a time of 1:36.436 and good for 10th.

31 min: Jarno Trulli improves but remains in 14th place with a time of 1:36.756

30 min: Alex Yoong who is expected to struggle on this track to qualify is being helped by the weather. He is currently a massive 9.5 seconds off the pace!

29 min: Kimi Raikkonen moves into second with a time of 1:34.671. The Michelin runners don't appear to be struggling in the wet as expected.

28 min: Fisichella spins but recovers. Kimi Raikkonen on a fast lap!

27 min: Felipe Massa improves into 15th with a time of 1:37.456.

26 min: Toyota have announced that Mika Salo will not take part in today's practice session and was advised by the team doctor to relax. He is reported to be suffering from food poisoning.

24 min: Michael Schumacher moves into 6th place with a time of 1:35.496. Meanwhile Allan McNish improves in 18th place with a 1:38.477.

22 min: Kimi Raikkonen puts in a quick lap but fails to improve over his time from the morning.

20 min: Top 10 - Barrichello, Button, Coulthard, Raikkonen, Montoya, Irvine, Fisichella, de la Rosa, Villeneuve and R Schumacher.

19 min: Ralf Schumacher moves up 3 places into 10th with a 1:36.626.

18 min: Jarno Trulli is another driver to improve his time with a 1:37.179 and good for 14th place.

17 min: Ralf Schumacher moves up into 13th place with a time of 1:36.939.

16 min: Mark Webber goes off but recovers. Barrichello laps in the high 1:35's.

15 min: And Montoya improves again with a time of 1:35.437 and moves into 5th.

13 min: Juan Pablo Montoya is the first to improve on his time from the morning with a 1:37.065. Ralf Schumacher also improves with a time of 1:38.176 in 17th!

11 min: Apart from Michael Schumacher who didn't set a time in the morning session, there have been no improvements. Mika Salo has yet to set a time and so do the Arrows pair of Heinz Harald Frentzen and Enrique Bernoldi.

9 min: Michael Schumacher improves into 11th with a time of 1:36.786.

7 min: Olivier Panis goes off into the gravel as well but recovers. The track is still very wet!

6 min: David Coulthard spins but manages to recover. Massa on track after spinning in the morning.

4 min: Michael Schumacher sets his first lap time of the day with a 1:37.894. He moves into 16th place.

3 min: The rain has eased as more cars go out on the wet track.

1 min: Michael Schumacher is out on the track as well after losing virtually all of the first session due to a spin.

Session underway and Eddie Irvine is the first to go back on the track and Takuma Sato follow.

It is still raining at the track but it seems that the weather may improve. Rubens Barrichello was fastest in the morning session while Michael Schumacher spun out on his installation lap. Session starting in 2 minutes.

Session starting at 1:00 PM local time. It is wet and cloudy with a temperature of 15 degrees.
