Hungarian GP - 1st Saturday Practice

Final Order - Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Olivier Panis, Felipe Massa, Giancarlo Fisichella and Kimi Raikkonen make the top 6.
Heidfeld, Villeneuve, Button, Coulthard, Montoya, Trulli, R Schumacher, de la Rosa, Sato, Salo, McNish, Irvine, Webber and Davidson make the rest of the field.

45 min: Final lap .... Barrichello improves but is still in the 1:15's. Button's car is stopped on the track, he is 9th! He has gone off and hit the barrier actually!

44 min: Just a minute remaining in this session. Sato is struggling down in 15th with a best time of 1:17.732. 

43 min: Massa improves his time but remains in 4th. 

42 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Panis, Massa, Fisichella, Raikkonen, Heidfeld, Villeneuve, Button and Coulthard. 

41 min: Michael Schumacher improves again with a time of 1:14.329. That is a full second faster than the best time set during the session last year. His time has put both Webber and Davidson outside the 107% mark.

40 min: Massa moves into 4th with a 1:16.304. The Bridgestones are enjoying this!

39 min: Panis moves into 3rd with a time of 1:16.148. 

38 min: Jarno Trulli moves into 9th with a time of 1:17.417 

37 min: The Ferrari domination continues. Raikkonen in 3rd is over 1.7 seconds off the pace. Given that he is running on Michelins, he must be doing an excellent job! 

36 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Raikkonen, Panis, Fisichella, Heidfeld, Villeneuve, Montoya, Button and R Schumacher. 

35 min: Montoya moves into the top 10 with a 1:17.391 and that is good for 8th. Ralf takes 10th with a time of 1:17.456. 

34 min: At the back, Webber is ahead of Davidson by just over 0.3 seconds. Both are within the 107% of the fastest time at this stage. 

33 min: Nick Heidfeld moves into 6th with a time of 1:17.057. Massa is down in 16th with a 1:18.328. 

33 min: Barrichello improves in second with a time of 1:15.196. He is 0.4 seconds behind Michael. 

32 min: Villeneuve moves into 7th with a time of 1:17.246. Barrichello look like improving! 

31 min: The Williams pair continue to struggle. They are down in 16th and 17th over 3.5 seconds off the pace! 

30 min: Indeed, Michael Schumacher sets a stunning time of 1:14.780.  

29 min: Now Barrichello goes into second with a time of 1:15.557. Michael looks like he's going to improve! 

28 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Raikkonen, Panis, Fisichella, Button, de la Rosa, Coulthard, Trulli, Villeneuve and Sato. Only Barrichello has yet to set a time. 

27 min: And Michael Schumacher goes straight to the top with a 1:15.123. That is over 1.3 seconds faster than Raikkonen in second place. Stunning combination is the Ferrari-Bridgestone! 

26 min: Panis goes second with a time of 1:16.949. Trulli moves into 5th with a time of 1:17.572. Michael Schumacher on track! 

25 min: Jacques Villeneuve moves into 5th with a time of 1:17.853. Panis on a fast lap! 

25 min: Kimi Raikkonen goes fastest with a time of 1:16.503. That is over a second faster than Coulthard! 

24 min: Coulthard improves in first with a time of 1:17.533. This is faster than his best time yesterday. 

24 min: Top 10 - Coulthard, Panis, Sato, McNish, Montoya, R Schumacher, Villeneuve, Salo, Irvine and Webber. 

23 min: Takuma Sato moves into 3rd behind Panis.. 

23 min: Panis retakes the top spot for a moment only for Coulthard to take it away. Coulthard's time was a 1:17.685. 

22 min: And McNish goes fastest with a time of 1:17.958. 

22 min: Montoya moves ahead of Ralf with a time of 1:18.384. McNish on a fast lap! 

21 min: Top 6 - Panis, R Schumacher, Montoya, Irvine, Davidson and Webber. Coulthard on track. 

20 min: Montoya improves and takes 3rd with a time of 1:18.612. 

19 min: Olivier Panis goes fastest with a time of 1:18.296. It looks like Bridgestone still have the edge!

18 min: Ralf Schumacher improves in 1st with a time of 1:18.413. Irvine jumps into second with a time of 1:19.419.

17 min: Montoya sets a time of 1:21.215. That is even slower!. Panis, Salo, Webber and Irvine are on the track.

17 min: Ralf sets a time of 1:19.172. That is almost 2 seconds slower than his best yesterday!

16 min: And so does Montoya!

16 min: Ralf Schumacher starts his first timed lap of the day.

15 min: The 2 Williams go out on the track. They struggled yesterday!

14 min: And Davidson improves yet again with a 1:19.815.

13 min: Davidson improves with a time of 1:20.687. No other drivers on the track!

11 min: Davidson sets a 1:21.024. The first timed lap of the day. His time is slower than his best time yesterday indicating that he may have run on a lighter fuel load.

10 min: Davidson starts his first flying lap. 

9 min: Anthony Davidson is the first to appear back on the track. A number of drivers will soon follow. 

8 min: Barrichello pits and the track is quiet again!. No timed laps yet. 

6 min: Rubens Barrichello goes out onto the track for his installation lap. 

5 min: All the cars are back in their pits. 

3 min: Anthony Davidson who set a faster time than Webber yesterday is also out on the track. 

2 min: Michael Schumacher goes out on the track for his installation lap. A bit early by his standards!

1 min: Yesterday Ferrari dominated both sessions and the Michelin run teams struggled to find grip. The situation may change as the track becomes grippier.

Session underway and Takuma Sato leads the stream of cars heading out of the pit lane.
