US GP - 2nd Saturday Practice Session:

Final Order - Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Irvine, Ralf Schumacher, David Coulthard and Nick Heidfeld make the top 6.
Montoya, Raikkonen, Fisichella, Frentzen, Salo, de la Rosa, Villeneuve, Panis, Trulli, Sato, Button, McNish, Webber and Yoong make the rest of the field.

45 min: Final lap ...  no improvements due to the yellow flags from Raikkonen's spin.

44 min: Kimi Raikkonen spins off and hits the barrier. His session is over. 

43 min: Takuma Sato finally moves up into 16th with a time of 1:12.826. 

41 min: Eddie Irvine jumps into 3rd with a time of 1:11.688. 

40 min: Alex Yoong takes 19th from Sato with a 1:13.562!

39 min: Nick Heidfeld jumps into 6th place with a 1:11.910.

28 min: Nick Heidfeld moves into 10th just behind his team-mate Frentzen.

27 min: Takuma Sato improves his time but remains in 19th.

26 min: Eddie Irvine jumps into 4th with a time of 1:11.881. The Jaguar looks competitive again.

25 min: Ralf Schumacher takes 3rd back from Coulthard with a 1:11.849. He is just over half a second off the pace. Track temperatures are rising and that could be benefiting the Michelin runners.

24 min: Villeneuve improves but remains in 17th with a 1:13.236

23 min: Olivier Panis improves in 15th with a time of 1:13.083. McNish moves into 16th with a time of 1:13.204.

22 min: Jacques Villeneuve returns to the track. He is in 16th.

21 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Coulthard, R Schumacher, Montoya, Fisichella, Raikkonen, Irvine, Frentzen and Salo.

20 min: David Coulthard takes 3rd from Ralf Schumacher with a time of 1:11.909. This is the closest a non-Ferrari driver has been to Michael's time.

19 min: Heinz Harald Frentzen moves into 9th with a 1:12.589.

18 min: Giancarlo Fisichella moves into 6th with a time of 1:12.220. Irvine improves in 8th with a 1:12.546.

17 min: Takuma Sato moves up into 19th with a time of 1:13.929. Yoong improves but drops to 20th with a time of 1:14.004

16 min: Takuma Sato sets his first time of the day with a 1:14.756.

15 min: Kimi Raikkonen improves his time but remains in 6th. A 1:12.309. Sato on track!

14 min: Pedro de la Rosa moves into 10th with a time of 1:12.679

13 min: Mika Salo moves into 9th with a time of 1:12.656.

12 min: Rubens Barrichello improves in second with a 1:11.544. He is only 0.282 seconds behind Michael.

11 min: Jenson Button moves into 10th with a time of 1:12:878.

10 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, R Schumacher, Coulthard, Montoya, Raikkonen, Fisichella, Irvine, Trulli and Salo.

9 min: Alex Yoong improves in 19th. Sato yet to come out onto the track after his engine failure in the morning.

8 min: Olivier Panis moves into 14th place with a time of 1:13.094. The improvements so far are marginal.

7 min: Nick Heidfeld improves his time in 13th place with a 1:13.073.

6 min: Mark Webber in problems as he parks his car on the side of the track. He was 17th fastest and was competitive in the first session. Session over for him!

5 min: Ralf Schumacher is the first to improve on his time. He moves into 3rd with a time of 1:12.169. He is still over 0.9 seconds off the pace.

3 min: More drivers join in the action. No improvements yet.

2 min: Michael Schumacher continues to dominate here at Indy with Rubens Barrichello getting closer to his times after losing both sessions yesterday.

1 min: Jarno Trulli, Allan McNish and Mika Salo join in.

Session underway and Kimi Raikkonen is the first to go out onto the track.
