Belgian GP - 2nd Friday Practice session:

Michael Schumacher remains fastest after rain interrupted most of the session. Jarno Trulli is second ahead of Rubens Barrichello, Giancarlo Fisichella, Mika Hakkinen and Kimi Raikkonen.

60 min: There won't be any improvements to the overall times for today.

58 min: Coulthard will not set a time today. He is out of his car with 2 minutes to go.

57 min: There will not be any improvements to the times set this morning and earlier in this session.

55 min: As the track is drying and with some dry and some wet, the drivers are struggling. Marques spins at the bus stop but recovers.

54 min: Montoya spins and crashes!! He is OK

52 min: Most drivers are now running on intermediates.

51 min: Coulthard has yet to set a timed lap today!

50 min: Fernando Alonso stops on the track just after La Source.

47 min: Jarno Trulli spins but recovers.

46 min: It is unlikely that Michael will return to the track today. He is out of his car and the mechanics are working on the front. Seems like his car sustained more damage from his collision with de la Rosa.

45 min: 15 minutes to go and a dry line is starting to form on parts of the track. A few cars are taking on intermediate tyres.

44 min: Alesi spins but recovers.

43 min: Burti sets a time with a 2:13.781. He is in 21st place ahead of Coulthard who has yet to go out.

42 min: Michael Schumacher and Pedro de la Rosa are in the pits to get their cars repaired.

41 min: Jean Alesi, Nick Heidfeld and Juan Pablo Montoya are the fastest at the moment. Alesi's time is 2:04.7

40 min: Kimi Raikkonen spins but recovers.

39 min: Actually Michael seems to have hit the back of de la Rosa due to poor visibility from the spray.

38 min: Michael Schumacher must have had an off as he is driving back to the pits without his front wing!

37 min: Heinz Harald Frentzen is lapping around in the 2:10's.

36 min: The sun is out but the track is wet. A dry line may form but it is unlikely to affect the times.

34 min: Luciano Burti is on the track. Button slides over the grass but recovers. Barrichello on track too.

33 min: Juan Pablo Montoya is on the track while his team-mate Ralf is struggling with his car.

31 min: Eddie Irvine goes out on the track as Jean Alesi pits after 1 lap. Rain seems to have stopped but the track is very wet.

30 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Trulli, Barrichello, Fisichella, Hakkinen, Raikkonen, R Schumacher, Irvine, Alesi and Button.

30 min: Ralf Schumacher joins him.

29 min: Finally some action. Jean Alesi in the Jordan is on the track on full wet tyres.

26 min: Apart from Coulthard and Burti (who have yet to set times), no one is likely to improve on their times as long as the track remains wet and it looks like that at this stage.

25 min: The rain has eased but still no cars on the track. The teams are preparing their cars for a wet set-up.

20 min: It is unlikely that the track will dry out before the end of the session as the rain continues. No cars on the track.

19 min: This weather is typical of Spa. Much of the same is expected on Saturday and Sunday. No cars are on the track.

18 min: The rain is now heavy and the teams will have to go on wets!

17 min: Hakkinen missed the corner at La Source, he reversed and is back on the track.

16 min: Burti returned to the pits after his first lap this session. Coulthard yet to go out. It is starting to rain!

15 min: Giancarlo Fisichella moves into 4th place. This is impressive in a Benetton!

14 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Trulli, Barrichello, Hakkinen, Raikkonen, R Schumacher, Fisichella, Irvine, Alesi and Button.

10 min: Kimi Raikkonen takes 5th!. Villeneuve back on the track.

9 min: Olivier Panis moves into 10th place. The BAR doesn't appear on the pace with the Jordan's here.
