Jordan have announced that Ricardo Zonta will replace Heinz Harald Frentzen at the Canadian GP following Frentzen's crash on Friday - Session starting in 2 minutes
Eddie Irvine was a surprise 3rd on Friday. The true test will be today to see if the Jaguar's new aerodynamic package has improved the car that much. Jacques Villeneuve on the other hand had a disastrous day crashing during the 1st session and missing out on the 2nd. Villeneuve was very angry at Montoya claiming that the Colombian was on a mission to block others! - Session starting in 5 minutes
Michael Schumacher only managed 11th fastest on Friday after losing a lot of time during the 2nd practice session while his mechanics where making adjustments to his car. He doesn't believe that his time is a reflection of his pace and is not too worried about it - Session starting in 10 minutes
Last year the lap times dropped over a second between Friday and Saturday, if the same trend continues this year, we'll be looking at a low 1:16 for the practice sessions and possibly even a high 1:15's for qualifying. The cars are getting too fast! (Hakkinen set the fastest time on Friday with a time of 1:17.672 which is already faster than the pole time of last year!) - Session starting in 15 minutes
