60 min: A lot of action but no improvements. Final lap!

55 min: Trulli improves in 12th place with a time of 1:25.987

52 min:  Top 10: R Schumacher, Montoya, M Schumacher, de la Rosa, Barrichello, Hakkinen, Coulthard, Heidfeld, Alesi and Frentzen.

50 min: Frentzen moves into 10th place with a time of 1:25.860

47 min: Yoong improves nut remains in 22nd place.

45 min: Verstappen appears to be struggling still in 21st place.

42 min: Frentzen has an off but recovers! 

40 min: Frentzen jumps into 13th with a time of 1:26.325. Coulthard moves into 7th with a time of 1:25.544. 

39 min: While de la Rosa is on 4th place, Irvine is in 19th! (he spun out early this session though)

38 min: Montoya takes second place with a time of 1:25.067

36 min: Panis improves but remains in 16th place!. Montoya on a fast lap.

35 min: Neither Heidfeld nor Raikkonen have come back out since their crashes this morning.

34 min: Top 10: R Schumacher, M Schumacher, de la Rosa, Barrichello, Hakkinen, Montoya, Coulthard, Heidfeld, Alesi and Fisichella.

33 min: Barrichello improves again and takes 4th from Hakkinen.

32 min: Jean Alesi takes 9th with a time of 1:25.849

31 min: Rubens Barrichello moves into 6th place with a time of 1:25.508.

30 min: Mika Hakkinen takes 4th from Montoya.

27 min: Alonso moves into 17th place leaving Yoong in last place.

25 min: Alex Yoong is actually ahead of Alonso in 21st at the moment.

24 min: Ralf Schumacher improves and sets a time of 1:24.667. Michael Schumacher improves into second with a time of 1:25.131

23 min: Montoya takes 4th. Michael and Ralf on track.

22 min: Villeneuve improves to 13th.

21 min: Pedro de la Rosa moves into 2nd!. He must be on qualifying set-up!

19 min: Tomas Enge improves to 18th place just behind Heinz Harald Frentzen!

17 min: Panis and Villeneuve post improvements but they are back in 14th and 15th.

16 min: Jarno Trulli moves into 8th place with a time of 1:26.188

15 min: Top 10: R Schumacher, M Schumacher, Coulthard, Hakkinen, Barrichello, Heidfeld, Montoya, Button, de la Rosa and Alesi.

14 min: Jean Alesi moves into 10th place.

13 min: Ralf Schumacher goes fastest with a time of 1:25.049. The Williams is now showing signs of good form.

12 min: Juan Pablo Montoya moves into 6th place. A good improvement from the Columbian.

11 min: Mika Hakkinen takes third place with a time of 1:25.597. 

10 min: Juan Pablo Montoya on the track. Pedro de la Rosa moves into 7th.

9 min: Mika Hakkinen improves in 5th place. Alex Yoong back on the track after stopping in the morning session.

7 min: Bernoldi is the first to improve but remains in 18th place.

5 min: It remains to be seen if either of the Sauber cars or Verstappen's get repaired in time to practice a few laps this session. Hakkinen on track.

4 min: Eddie Irvine spins and is stuck in the gravel!. Both the Saubers and Verstappen lost it in the morning and crashed.

2 min: Fisichella on the track. He was 12th in the morning session.

Session underway and it is raining lightly but the track remains dry.

The mood today is a sad one due to the tragic events in the USA last Tuesday. Ferrari are running their cars without logos and a black nose in respect.
