23 min: David Coulthard takes 5th with a time of 1:11.416.

22 min: Nick Heidfeld stops on the track (was 11th) and Fisichella spins and is unable to rejoin the track (was 12th).

21 min: At the back, Webber takes 20th from de la Rosa while Yoong improves in 22nd.

21 min: Both Fisichella and Frentzen go off but recover.

20 min: Raikkonen in 3rd is now only 0.108 seconds off the pace!. His team-mate David Coulthard is down in 16th place.

19 min: Top 10 - Barrichello, M Schumacher, Raikkonen, Montoya, R Schumacher, Bernoldi, Panis, Frentzen, Massa and Heidfeld.

18 min: Barrichello improves again and takes 1st place from his team-mate with a 1:10.549.

17 min: Barrichello takes second back from Montoya only for Raikkonen to take it away. It is getting exciting!

16 min: Juan Pablo Montoya jumps into second with a time of 1:11.023. Impressive!

14 min: Arrows showing good pace with Bernoldi up into 4th with a time of 1:11.718.

13 min: Ralf Schumacher moves into 3rd with a time of 1:11.652. That is over a second slower than Michael.

12 min: Michael Schumacher improves his time in first place with a 1:10.579. Another stunning time.

12 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Raikkonen, Panis, Frentzen, Massa, Heidfeld, Fisichella, Trulli and Button.

11 min: Jarno Trulli takes 9th from his team-mate.

10 min: Juan Pablo Montoya goes wide too!. Button moves into 9th.

9 min: Olivier Panis takes 4th place with a time of 1:11.972

8 min: Rubens Barrichello improves his time with a 1:11.269. He remains in second.

7 min: Giancarlo Fisichella goes off into the gravel!. He recovers.

6 min: Kimi Raikkonen jumps into 3rd with a time of 1:11.946. Frentzen is 4th.

5 min: McNish spins and recovers. Several drives are losing grip in this session.

4 min: Ralf Schumacher goes wide too!. Kimi Raikkonen improves into 14th.

3 min: Takuma Sato goes wide but recovers.

2 min: Top 10 from this morning - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Massa, Heidfeld, Fisichella, Sato, Coulthard, Frentzen, Villeneuve and Panis.

1 min: Panis, Sato, McNish and Raikkonen are also out on the track.

Session underway and Mark Webber is the first to go out on the track followed by Salo.

The first session this morning was dominated by Ferrari and the rest of the Bridgestone runners. In fact only 1 Michelin runner was in the top 10 and only 1 Bridgestone runner was outside the top 10. Session starting in 2 minutes
