Final Order: Raikkonen, Coulthard, M Schumacher, R Schumacher, Salo Montoya, Barrichello, Button, Trulli, Heidfeld, McNish, de la Rosa, Frentzen, Fisichella, Bernoldi, Sato, Villeneuve, Panis, Yoong, Irvine, Massa and Webber..

60 min: Michael Schumacher improves but remains in 3rd over a second off the pace. Jarno Trulli moves into 9th place.

60 min: Final lap ...

58 min: Mika Salo moves into 5th with a time of 1:39.066. He is 1.667 seconds off the pace.

57 min: Alex Yoong takes 19th from Eddie Irvine. It would have been interesting to see what times Mark Webber would have set.

56 min: Pedro de la Rosa stops on the track!

55 min: David Coulthard improves but remains in second with a gap of 0.639 to Raikkonen.

54 min: Irvine improves into 19th. He is 4.458 seconds off the pace. His team-mate Pedro de la Rosa is 11th.

53 min: Raikkonen on the track too.

53 min: 7 minutes to go. Top 10: Raikkonen, Coulthard, M Schumacher, R Schumacher, Montoya, Barrichello, Salo, Button, Heidfeld and McNish

52 min: Coulthard back on the track and so does Montoya. 

51 min: Ralf Schumacher has so far completed the most number of laps with 36 in both sessions. 

50 min: Panis moves into 16th right behind Villeneuve. 

49 min: Mika Salo improves again and moves into 7th place. Jacques Villeneuve improves into 15th place but 4 seconds off the pace!

48 min: Michael Schumacher improves but remains in 3rd just over 0.2 seconds slower than Coulthard in second place. 

47 min: Michael Schumacher goes onto the track. He is in 3rd at the moment.

46 min: Rubens Barrichello parked on the side of the track. A problem for Ferrari ?

45 min: Allan McNish in the Toyota moves into 9th but Salo drops him back a place as he moves into 8th.

44 min: All of a sudden, McLaren appear to be dominant!. Barrichello back on track.

43 min: Top 10: Raikkonen, Coulthard, M Schumacher, R Schumacher, Montoya, Barrichello, Button, Heidfeld, de la Rosa and Frentzen.

42 min: Montoya moves into 5th from 13th. 

41 min: Montoya on a flyer ... 

40 min: Jenson Button takes 6th. The Renault is looking good. Trulli is in 15th though! 

39 min: David Coulthard moves into second still 0.854 seconds behind his team-mate. 

38 min: Ralf Schumacher must have found a good set-up. He is up in 3rd splitting the Ferraris. 

37 min: Nick Heidfeld improves in 4th but is still over half a second slower than Barrichello in 3rd. 

36 min: Rubens Barrichello improves but remains in 3rd place 0.71 seconds behind his team-mate. 

35 min: Olivier Panis moves into 16th place over 4 seconds off the pace. His team-mate Jacques Villeneuve is in 19th. The BAR's are not shaping here.  

34 min: Alex Yoong improves in 21st with a 1:43.988. He is over 6.5 seconds off the pace! 

33 min: Not much activity on the track at the moment.  

32 min: Yellow flags warning of oil on the track. Possibly the reason why both Bernoldi and Massa spun. 

30 min: Mika Salo takes 10th with a 1:40.897 

28 min: Pedro de la Rosa moves back into 6th place. 

26 min: Barrichello improves in 3rd. Both Bernoldi and Massa are off and stuck in the gravel!

25 min: Coulthard improves into 4th. He remains just under 3 seconds off the pace!.

24 min: Top 10: Raikkonen, M Schumacher, Barrichello, Heidfeld, Frentzen, Fisichella, Button, Coulthard, Bernoldi and de la Rosa.

23 min: David Coulthard moves into 6th place but is bumped back a place as Frentzen takes 5th.

22 min: Michael Schumacher improves but remains in second with a 1:38.568. Over a second off the pace.

21 min: Raikkonen stunning with a 1:37.399. He is over a second faster than anyone else!

20 min: Heidfeld takes 4th with a 1:40.389

19 min: Raikkonen quick ...

18 min: David Coulthard has yet to set a time. Meanwhile his team-mate is fastest and is back on the track.

17 min: Juan Pablo Montoya moves back into the top 10 with a 1:41.387.

16 min: Pedro de la Rosa moves into 5th!

15 min: Ralf Schumacher moves into 7th place with a time of 1:41.253.

13 min: Ralf Schumacher improves his time but is down in 12th place at the moment.

12 min: Top 10: Raikkonen, M Schumacher, Barrichello, Fisichella, Heidfeld, Bernoldi, Button, Sato, Frentzen and Trulli.

11 min: Fisichella takes 4th with a time of 1:40.815. That is 2.275 seconds off the pace of Raikkonen.

10 min: Coulthard goes into the gravel but recovers. Fisichella on a flyer.

9 min: Raikkonen goes fastest with a time of 1:38.540. Montoya in the gravel but recovers. It's all action now!

8 min: Michael Schumacher spins but recovers. He is pushing!. Irvine improves his time and takes 19th.

7 min: Raikkonen takes second just half a second off the pace of Michael. Are the Michelins starting to work ?

6 min: Pedro de la Rosa moves into 10th with a time of 1:41.773.

5 min: Michael Schumacher goes out on the track.

4 min: McNish improves into 16th. His team-mate Mika Salo is currently in 13th.

3 min: Heidfeld and Button are also on the track. McNish starts his first flyer.

2 min: Oh No! Mark Webber is out of luck today, he is stopped on the track with what seems to be a blown engine.

1 min: A number of cars also go out with the 2 Toyota's, Montoya, Sato and Irvine on the track.

Session underway and Mark Webber is once again the first to go out on the track. He had a spin early in the first session and he wants to make up for lost time.

A couple of minutes to the start of the second Friday practice session. So far we are witnessing another Ferrari domination as we saw in Melbourne two weeks ago.

Session starting at 1:00 PM local time. Weather is hazy with the current temperature at 33 degrees.
