Feb.19 (GMM) Jerez has stayed dry so far for the penultimate day of this week's third test of the winter.

After rain disrupted both Wednesday and Thursday at the southern Spanish venue, torrential downpours caused local flooding in the sherry-producing region.

A shortage of dry running aside, it meant the F1 circus was further disrupted, for instance when a Lotus truck was unable to deliver a spare front wing to the circuit due to floods.

"Rain last night was like Malaysia," said team boss Tony Fernandes.

But although Friday dawned cold and the asphalt was still wet, the skies were mercifully blue when the morning green light shone.

After Saturday's final day of the test, there will be just four more days of pre-season testing at Barcelona next week prior to the Bahrain opener.
