You are certainly correct about the professionalism of Hakkinen and Schumacher and, alas, I think you are also correct about the difficulties at Ferrari --all things being equal, a driver and a team with elan can be expected to supply dramatic races and exciting wins. But all things are far from equal and the greatest drivers and all the elan in the world can't be expected to make up for fundamental mistakes in engineering and strategy. Obviously the McLarens have the horses and Ferrari, right now, has only the emblem.  That there is something special in the Schumacher family was shown again in this race; why no comment about Ralf?.

Thanks for the suggestion, a word or two on Ralf is probably overdue.

Over the years Ferrari have had their times in front but it never seemed to last for much more than a season or two. Maybe they are going into an off period again.
