Ummm....I smell a Rat!
Malaysia, Ralf is 2nd quickest in the race, then brazil and he's clearly the
fastest and Monty may well have won, then Imola and Ralf takes the mickey...but
Spain and he's 5th fastest....?
It's fairly clear that Williams are not using traction control, Ralf
lighting up the rears as he span off would prove that, before Montoya
confirmed that they were only using Launch control.
I hear that Williams blew an engine on the Friday running TC and they struggled
last week at Silverstone.
So why haven't Williams sussed it and McLaren and Ferrari clearly have?
I say they're rivals have been either using it or developing it before. This
is exactly why it's been re-introduced, but appears to have immediately
favoured the cheats again!
The only team to make a significant backward step in Spain has been Williams
and the only team that have come out of this weekend with any respect from
me is Williams. A 2nd place without TC is a great result.
I can only hope they sort it quick and get back to the front where they
belong. Williams are the best F-1 team and Monty can and will beat Michael
wheel to wheel.

I think you are absolutely right! See issue 3-12.
The FIA had no option but to allow traction control as several teams were
already using it. It is strange that Williams, that had launch control for
most of the season, are now having trouble with their traction control. I
guess that is motor racing.
I tend to agree with you - Williams could be the dominant team before the
end of the season.
