Well, there is total contradiction in this report. If Ferrari is so objective and professional , they would not have made such a massive mistake hoping that the fans and everyone will forget this soon. Of course it is hard to say why they did it (It was an obviously bad move), my guess goes like this: ->
Ferrari wants to make it clear that Rubens stands a fair and equal chance within the team, he gets an equally good car, BUT Michael should win as he's leading and the #1 ->
The decision about moving over has come from *external and very influential* parties (maybe someone who pays), who would like to secure the DC too, but it came down a bit late!! And a qn to Michael: Whose the Boss? - GOP - NL (Reference Heretic 4-13 - Confusing corporate objectives with sport)

The Heretic replies:

Hi GOP,

The contradiction is not in the report but as you point out in the way it was done.

Manipulating the outcome of the race is allowed. I believe that Ferrari have an obligation to not do it that blatantly. I believe that Ferrari made this decision (at least as a policy) before the start of the season – not during the race. I believe that we will see more of the same (less blatant, I hope).

Unfortunately, what I believe is of little consequence when billions of sponsorship dollars are involved. That is the real boss.
