I agree that fan's feelings have zero impact on Ferrari or Michael (love or hate it's all the same to their performance). But F1 people keep talking about the "Ferrari problem." Where were they in the long, lean, years when there really WAS a Ferrari problem? Just to remind you, the Scuderia won the title in 1983 (tho' neither of their drivers [Tambay and Arnoux] won the driver's title that year). They didn't win again until 2000; I'd call that SEVENTEEN year drought a real Ferrari problem. But did the Ferrari fans threaten to quit? Did they talk darkly about how no one was being "fair" to Ferrari, who kept being "held" by the rules, and unfair luck, to seconds, thirds and even a few fourth place finishes? No. And why was this? Because Ferrari fans want to win a genuine contest, not a formula shoot out. The only way to find out who is the winner is to run the race. But you run the race to win it; NOT to please fans, or make a good show, or please sponsors. Now, of course, pleasing fans and sponsors and even making a good show are fine. And I believe Ferrari does care about pleasing Marlboro and their other sponsors; they also don't mind pleasing the fans (at least their fans --and I see an awful lot of them at every race!) and when you're cheering for the red cars, I suspect a one-two finish is an "excellent show" for you. 
Consider, for a moment, Spa: what if the Mac/Merc's came out and scored a 1-2 finish? The press would fall all over themselves talking about how the excitement was, at last, back in F1. And it wouldn't matter a whit whether or not there had been a single over-taking. 
Now that I think about it, Raikkonen / Coulthard have a great deal in common with Schumacher / Barrichello, don't they? 
Anyway, you're correct, too, that Renault don't have the power for Spa. I'm picking (for fun) Kimi to take the pole and finish just behind Michael in the race. Jenson will get the Bronze. Behind him will be Juan Pablo, followed by Fernando, Fisi, D.C. and Takuma. 
Now that the "titles" have been decided maybe we can just go racing. Wouldn't that be a pleasant surprise?

Another very late reply, but hopefully I am over all the stuff that has caused the sporadic focus.

Like always you are right. I am sure that Ferrari do not see the problem. After the Italian race it is obvious that the other teams have the problem.

Well Jenson keeps on coming third almost as consistently as Michael coming first.

No, nothing is stopping the other teams from doing as well as Ferrari, so why blame Ferrari? Money? If that was the only factor why are Toyota doing so poorly?
