Can McLaren continue their amazing run?

The last time a McLaren retired during a race was in Brazil this year and that was 12 races ago. Since then, both McLaren cars have finished every race. Not only that but they have also finished in the points each time with the exception of Coulthard's 7th place finish in Canada.

The facts get even more amazing, Hakkinen and Coulthard have each only finished twice outside the top 3 in the last 11 races. That is 18 (out of 22) top 3 finishes since Brazil

Can McLaren continue their amazing run and remind us of the 91 season when they won all the races or will we see some failures or mistakes in the final 4 races giving Ferrari a break they desperately need ? What do you think ?  (What others are saying)

What others are saying:

Of course Michael is #1, but its a pity that he does not have the best car. If he had a car like the Mclarens, he would have wrapped the championship by now.
So either way look at it, Michael has got the odds to fight it & he is the best in these conditions - Vinit W - India

Can McLaren continue? yes..they sure can.. If their drivers can keep-em on the track and not hit anything or spin off while they're 2 min. ahead. I've always believed..it is McLaren that wins..not the drivers..in my opinion..they just get in and hold on, and also that's why the drivers don't get paid much and the developers do. now..on the other hand Ferrari, they pay THE driver to also develop the car, and believe me when I say THE driver, that's what he is..can u imagine Schumacher in a McLaren? (why race, except to see how many times he laps people)
NOW...is it over ?  not at all..besides wasn't Michael out for some time last year and didn't they STILL win the constructors? put it plainly..?"MCLAREN" is the favorite to win the DRIVERS and the CONSTRUCTORS championship this year, but hold on for the remainder..its Michael and McLaren who's racing..both the best at what they do - Jimmy - USA

If the cars stay reliable, McLaren should win the constructors championship easily. Now if Coulthard gets his act together, maybe he can give Mika a run for his money otherwise it will be drivers championship #3 for Mika. Ferrari and Schumacher are once again over for another year the McLarens are just too fast. No wonder Ferrari are willing to pay Adrian Newey $36 million to design a truly winning package - Robbie - Australia

I think that everything is possible, but for me is a battle between the amazing German technology and Latin spirit of Schumi!
Lets imagine that what happened with Michael's car in previous races will happen with Mika's car
What is the best technology good for?
In similar conditions  like the Belgian Grand Prix will Michael make the same mistake?
No, I don't think so! - Cristian - Romania

I think that McLaren has found their best setting ever since Melbourne and Brazil gp series.
Although Mika is also getting his confidence back after a bad start this year.
DC should get more tough to stay as a championship contender. He just can't complain about anything such as the flagman like he did from the last race in belgium.

I hope Ron Dennis will stay focus on his two drivers... don't be like Ferarri which do favor Schumacher all the time - viva McLaren - Winsu - Indonesia

It's a lottery. McLaren have had an amazing run and statistically it is unlikely to continue, however, remember the amazing run of BAD luck they had in the initial races? Or was that an amazing run of good luck for the boys from Maranello ?

I dont see both finishing all the remaining races but who knows? If they do then McLaren should win the Constructors title back and Mika should get that elusive No 3 crown - Geoff H - Australia

McLaren has really pulled its socks up in the past 6 races or so. Ever since the French GP they have been really top-class. Their pit-stop strategy has really been the best (Ferrari are famed for their strategy though) and that has really helped the results. Secondly, the most important fact is that their car is now superfast. It could be seen at Spa where Mika was a whole 4 seconds behind Shumi but made that up in a couple of laps. Also the car seemed to be getting faster by the lap. I really think McLaren are on the right track. But things change drastically when it rains. Both Mika and David struggle under rain conditions. Ferrari have the superiority there as both Schumi and Rubens are very good wet weather drivers.McLaren should improve their wet weather strategy.
Still though I think McLaren have got the upper hand as the remaining circuits are very fast! So I think McLaren will continue their top winning spree! Why can't they with the Worlds best driver -MIKA HAKKINEN!!!!!! - Galdiator - India

Ferrari should not rely on McLaren making any mistakes. In fact I am sure that they will not do so. They did however not come down in the last shower and I am sure that the whole team is capable of increasing the pressure on McLaren. We are however very much into a people thing now and Ferrari need to come up with more than one lateral thought (after taking some deep breaths) to get above the fantastic mind-set that has built up at McLaren. The overtaking plan which Mika executed at SPA at over 200 MPH has secured both his own and McLaren's confidence for this season. Only wild chance can beat them.
Wonder of Adrian will accept the challenge and get it done for Ferrari next year? This is probably a more appropriate question now !! - Ian M - Australia

As a McLaren fan I hope that McLaren can continue like this. But I don't think that Ferrari are going to stay and watch. We'll wait and see! FORZA MCLAREN! - Hubert Z - Malta

We are glad to see the start is different and never effect the racing, brilliant. In this racing when the track from wet to dry. We look McLaren's car change to fast. Only one word can explain, Mclaren's car better than Ferrari too much. So I think only the God can help Michael and Ferrari - Humane W - Taiwan

I think McLaren can continue their amazing run. Mika is running so fast and Schumacher is still have some problem with his Ferrari 2000. The next circuit is Monza and McLaren will win it if they is no problem or mistake of the driver and the car - Liew SY - Malaysia

McLaren seems to have a very steady engine this season and o confident world champion who is looking for one more title. The McLarens are the favorites although I think the Malaysian grand prix will be the decisive race - Stuck - Greece
