1. Rubens Barrichello - Ferrari Rubens Barrichello wins the race ahead of Michael Schumacher and a surprise Eddie Irvine. The 2 Renaults finish in 4th and 5th ahead of Olivier Panis.
The Williams appeared to be challenging the Ferrari early in the race but reliability dropped both Williams' out of the race leaving the Ferrari alone in front. Kimi Raikkonen suffered from an engine failure while in 4th place.

Pedro de la Rosa finishes in 5th, his second race finish in the points all season while Jacques Villeneuve manages to finish in the points despite starting from 15th!
