FIA president’s brother exits DP World amid Epstein link

Feb.16 (GMM) The brother of FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem has stepped down from his leadership role at DP World following revelations linking him to Jeffrey Epstein.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, chairman and chief executive of the Dubai-based logistics giant, resigned with immediate effect, the company confirmed in a statement.

“DP World Limited announces that the group’s Chairman and Chief Executive, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, has resigned from the company, effective immediately,” the statement read.

The move follows reports that Ahmed bin Sulayem’s name appeared in documents connected to Epstein. Kentucky Republican senator Thomas Massie publicly identified him after earlier redactions in the files.

DP World has significant ties to global motorsport. The company was previously a partner of Renault in Formula 1 and has sponsored McLaren since 2023. It also maintains commercial agreements in MotoGP and World Superbike.
