Second Saturday Practice Session Report - Results

Once again Kimi Raikkonen managed to top the timesheets at the end of the practice sessions today. He was slightly faster than Michael Schumacher who didn't manage to improve his time from the first session indicating that he was indeed on a lighter fuel load when he set that time. David Coulthard managed 3rd just over half a second off the pace with Barrichello close behind in 4th.
Juan Pablo Montoya and Ralf Schumacher were 5th and 6th both under a second off the pace.

Mika Salo managed 7th but was a over half a second slower than Ralf Schumacher in the Williams while Panis made it in 8th and was the best non-Ferrari Bridgestone runner. Pedro de la Rosa was 9th ahead of Jenson Button who makes up the top 10.

Several drivers suffered from spins during the session but all of them managed to recover.

Michael Schumacher, Allan McNish and Anthony Davidson failed to improve on their best times from the 1st session.

Oliver Panis once again covered the most number of laps with 16 while Allan McNish only managed 5 laps and Mark Webber only did 8.

Even though McLaren were fast in practice, they've shown on several occasions that they don't improve significantly during Qualifying, contrary to Williams who seem to improve significantly between practice and Qualifying. Lets hope though that McLaren do maintain their momentum and we could have a 6 way fight for Pole. Now that would be almost unheard of this season!

Qualifying starts at 1:00 PM local time. Our coverage starts at 12:45 PM local time
