Second Saturday Practice Session Report - Results

Juan Pablo Montoya has managed to break the Ferrari domination this session but whether he can maintain that in qualifying remains to be seen.
Montoya was only 0.009 seconds faster than Michael Schumacher while Rubens Barrichello who managed to make it onto the track following his engine failure in the first session was 0.435 seconds off the pace. Ralf Schumacher in 4th was a hundredth of a second behind Rubens while the 2 McLarens make the top 6.
The 2 Jaguars continue their strong performance here with de la Rosa and Irvine managing 7th and 8th while Allan McNish was 9th with Jacques Villeneuve taking the best non-Ferrari Bridgestone runner in 10th place.

Jenson Button had a spin which ended in the gravel trap ending his session while his team-mate Trulli spun but recovered. The pace of the Renaults today is very disappointing with Trulli in 17th and Button in 18th.

Pedro de la Rosa and Alex Yoong covered the most number of laps this session with 17 laps while Jenson Button only managed 2 laps before his spin and Villeneuve and Barrichello just managed 7 laps each after missing most of the session due to mechanical problems.

Overall Alex Yoong covered the most number of laps with 34 followed by Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato with 32 laps each. Rubens Barrichello covered the least number of laps with 11 while Jenson Button only managed 15 laps.

Qualifying starts at 1:00 PM local time. Our coverage starts at 12:45 PM local time
