Second Saturday Practice Session Report - Results

The Ferraris continued their domination here at the US Grand Prix with Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello setting the fastest times of the session.
In fact Michael Schumacher has set the fastest time in all the practice sessions this weekend.
Eddie Irvine continues to impress setting the 3rd fastest time this session ahead of Ralf Schumacher, David Coulthard and Nick Heidfeld.

Montoya only managed 7th fastest while Raikkonen only managed 8th with Fisichella and Frentzen making the top 10.

Rubens Barrichello managed to close the gap to Michael Schumacher but it remains to be seen if he can do the same during qualifying.

The drivers continued to spin during the session but they all managed to recover except for Raikkonen towards the end of the session when he spun off and hit the barriers.
Mark Webber was unlucky this session as his car came to a halt early in the session.

The times continue to be close with just over 1.5 seconds separates 3rd and 18th.

Michael Schumacher covered the most number of laps with 21 followed by Rubens Barrichello and Allan McNish with 18 laps each. Mark Webber only managed 2 laps while Villeneuve only managed 9 laps.

Overall Alex Yoong set the most number of laps with 34 followed by Allan McNish with 33 laps. Both Jacques Villeneuve and Takuma Sato only managed 17 laps each.

With the gaps this close, expect to see a thrilling qualifying session.

Qualifying starts at 1:00 PM local time. Our coverage starts at 12:45 PM local time
