Championship Warm-up Session Report - ResultsRubens Barrichello continues to impress as he sets the fastest time in the warm-up over a second faster than David Coulthard in second place. Trulli, Raikkonen, Verstappen and Frentzen make the top 6. It is a strange top 6 with a few of the top drivers missing and the main reason for that is a wet track. The session started with a wet track but it wasn't raining so the track continued to dry out throughout the session. Most teams went out on full wets at the start of the session although both Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello were on intermediates. The rest of the field soon followed with intermediates as the track started drying. Jarno Trulli and Jos Verstappen completed the most number of laps with 13. Jenson Button had problems and only managed 4 laps. Ralf Schumacher appeared to have a problem as well as he only managed 7 laps. Most drivers covered between 9 and 12 laps. Fernando Alonso and Eddie Irvine had problems with their cars during the session while Giancarlo Fisichella was struggling with his car and spun twice. The weather forecast for the Malaysian GP is now for rain in the afternoon so we could have a wet race!
