Second Saturday Practice Session Report - Results

Rubens Barrichello remained at the top of the timesheets despite not improving on his time. Nick Heidfeld managed to set a time better than that of Michael Schumacher who settled for 3rd.
David Coulthard and Jenson Button managed to set 4th and 5th fastest times giving Michelin some good news and Heinz Harald Frentzen seems to deliver on the pace he set yesterday with the 6th fastest time.
Kimi Raikkonen made it into 7th ahead of Felipe Massa, Olivier Panis (the first of the Honda runners) and Enrique Bernoldi round up the top 10.
2 Arrows in the top 10 and 0 Williams - Amazing!

Ralf Schumacher managed 12th as he couldn't improve on his time from the first session while Montoya was 14th. The biggest disappointment of the session was Jarno Trulli who is back in 17th and just under 2 seconds slower than his team-mate Jenson Button.

On the other hand, Mark Webber continues to impress, despite losing most of the first session and going out in the final 10 minutes of the second session he still managed 19th fastest ahead of the 2 Toyotas and his own team-mate Alex Yoong.

There was one incident during the session when Takuma Sato went off and touched the tyre barrier.

Pedro de la Rosa and Jarno Trulli covered the most number of laps with 16 laps each followed by Jacques Villeneuve with 15 and Enrique Bernoldi with 14. Juan Pablo Montoya and Mark Webber covered the least number of laps with 7 laps each while Allan McNish and Alex Yoong only managed 8 laps each. All other drivers covered between 9 and 13 laps.
Overall, Pedro de la Rosa, Jacques Villeneuve and Enrique Bernoldi covered the most number of laps with 27 while Mark Webber only managed 11 laps in both sessions.

Qualifying will certainly be very interesting especially in the midfield as just 0.674 seconds separate Frentzen in 6th and Montoya in 14th.

Qualifying starts at 1:00 PM local time. Our coverage will start at 12:45 PM local time.
