Warm-up Session Report - Results

Michael Schumacher sets the fastest time in the warm-up just 0.057 seconds ahead of David Coulthard. Montoya, Barrichello, Raikkonen and Trulli make the top 6.

There were no major incidents during the session however both Tomas Enge and Fernando Alonso had mechanical problems. Jenson Button also had problems for most of the session.

While Montoya was close to the pace in 3rd, Ralf Schumacher was back in 8th possibly indicating a heavier fuel load. Jos Verstappen was 14th fastest although he was 19th in qualifying so he could be one of the few planning a 2 stop strategy.

Jos Verstappen covered the most number of laps with 16 followed by Frentzen, Irvine and Montoya with 15 laps each. Tomas Enge covered the least number of laps with 7 while Alonso only managed 8 laps.
All other drivers covered between 10 and 14 laps.
