Warm-up Session Report - Results

Michael Schumacher set the fastest time of the session ahead of team-mate Rubens Barrichello. Kimi Raikkonen was 3rd but almost 0.8 seconds behind. The Ferrari domination just continues in Hungary!.

Giancarlo Fisichella was 4th ahead of his much improved team-mate Takuma Sato. Ralf Schumacher was 6th ahead of Nick Heidfeld, David Coulthard and Felipe Massa. Jenson Button rounds up the top 10.
Juan Pablo Montoya continues to struggle managing just 16 fastest.

There were a few drivers who spun during the session but they all recovered with the exception of Rubens Barrichello who spun into the gravel just before the end of the session and couldn't get out.

As usual, it is nearly impossible to read much into the times of the warm-up but given the relatively quick pace of Raikkonen and the two Jordans, they could be starting on a lighter fuel load to try and make up some places at the start.
It is expected that most drivers will opt for a two stop strategy although given the pace of Villeneuve, Trulli and Montoya during the session, they may be opting for a single stop. If that is the case, expect to see a train of cars stuck behind!

Webber, Montoya and Massa covered the most number of laps with 16 while Ralf Schumacher only did 8 and Kimi Raikkonen only covered 10 laps.

Race starts at 2:00 PM local time. Our coverage starts at 1:30 PM local time
